  • What is a CFA in legal terms?

  • Can solicitors charge a success fee?

    In most successful No Win, No Fee claims, Claimants must give part of their compensation to their solicitor in the form of a 'success fee'. This success fee is almost always a percentage of the total compensation amount, and most solicitors charge 25%.

VAT

All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT, we will charge VAT at the standard rate applied by the government which is 20%.

Due to the varying nature and complexity of disputes that can arise, it is not always possible to give a definitive estimate of costs.


It will always be our aim to give you an estimation of the best possible cost from the outset and keep you updated as to any changes throughout the case.


The hourly rate applied will be dependent on the qualification and experience of your Solicitor and these rates are set out below

Pay Band:


Grade A – Solicitors and Legal executives with over 8 years’ experience = £272 + Vat per hour


Grade B – Solicitors and Legal executives with over 4 years’ experience = £233 + Vat per hour


Grade C – Other solicitors or Legal executives and fee earners of equivalent experience  = £189 + Vat per hour


Grade D – Trainee solicitors, paralegals and other fee earners  = £134 + Vat per hour

We offer an initial meeting at a fixed fee, agreed in advance, to discuss your case and your specific needs and to discuss how we can assist you moving forward. In straightforward matters, we will typically charge £150 plus VAT for a meeting up to one hour. This fixed fee could increase depending on the complexity of your matter. We may charge more, for example, if we are required to consider any documentation in advance of our initial consultation or if it is likely that the consultation will last more than one hour.

VAT

All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT, we will charge VAT at the standard rate applied by the government which is 20%.


Wills & Power of Attorney

From £200 + VAT + fee for ID verification £8.33 + VAT


Registration fee at National Will Register: £30 + VAT
